About
Biography
I originally hail from Stamford Connecticut, and have been involved in the arts for as long as I can remember. I made my debut as "Villager #4" in Beauty and the Beast in the fifth grade with the Stamford All-School Musical, and was hooked! I went on to work with the Stamford All-School Musical until my senior year of High School, where my love of Theatre was fostered through productions of Matilda (Mrs. Wormwood) Willy Wonka (Mrs. Bucket) The Wizard of Oz(Glinda) Marry Poppins (Katie Nanna) among others. I was also lucky to have Stamford's longest running community theatre only five minutes from my house! Curtain Call Community Theatre became a second home, where I spent every summer participating in their Summer Youth Theater program, doing shows like The Drowsy Chaperone (Gangster #2) The Music Man, Oliver, Peter Pan, Pippin, and Bye Bye Birdie. I even went on to become the President of Curtain Calls SYT Board, where I lead a group of students in fundraising and producing the annual summer production.
One of my most impactful theatrical experiences was competing in the Connecticut Drama Association Festival, where High Schools from all over the state come together to perform 45 minute one act plays. I performed in Radium Girls(Mrs.Berry/Clerk) and A Voice in the Dark: a Salem Story (Sarah Nurse). Both productions won the Outstanding Production award, and I won the All-Connecticut Cast award for my portrayal of Sarah Nurse. These festivals showed me the magic and chaos that can happen when you put hundreds of determined young actors in one building. While in High School, I also played the Trumpet in my High Schools competition marching band, where I later went on to be the Brass section leader. I was also the soprano section leader in the chamber choir, and went on to sing in the Connecticut Music Educators Associations western regional and All-State Choirs. While at Baldwin Wallace, I have had the privilege of participating in productions at the university, including The Importance of Being Earnest (Gwendolen Fairfax) The Comedy of Errors (Emilia/Jailer) Dread Fascination (Company) Boeing Boeing (Gabriella) The Crucible (U/S Mercy, Betty, Susanna, Ann, Sarah) The Modern Prometheus (Storyteller A/ Swing) and Men on Boats (Old Shady Understudy). In the Greater Cleveland area, I have worked on Romeo and Juliet (Nurse) and A Midsummer Nights Dream (Peter Quince) with Chagrin Arts Center; As You Like It (Audrey/Amiens/Jacques de Bois/Amiens) with Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, and A Christmas Carol (us/Mother, Belle, Christmas Past) with Great Lakes Theater. I have also explored all that Baldwin Wallace University has to offer. This year, I Assistant Directed for Sara Whales production of Flatland, based on the Book by Edwin A. Abbott. I Co-Produced the schools annual 24-Hour Theatre Festival, where students write, direct, and act in ten minute plays all within 24 Hours! I also worked for many semesters as a Carpenter In the BW Theaters and Dance Scene shop, where I built sets for all Theater and Dance productions. For the past three years, I have supervised the Groundlings Cafe, which serves as the Concession stand for all productions in the Kleist Center for Art and Drama. I have also found much joy in reviving the BW Improv troupe "Faces for Radio" that was almost lost due to COVID. Faces for Radio is now BW's top and only student led and audition based improv troupe, and I enjoy collaborating with my classmates every week, and having a laugh. Another favorite collaborative endeavor has been working on my classmates long running project "Frantic Theatre Company," having recently stage managed the premiere production of The Ballad of Blank Meter. Outside of theater, I am a Resident Assistant, and a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority! |
